I'll admit I was getting a little anxious to get rid of our trash but I kept getting emails from bagster saying they were on their way...and this morning they finally showed up. And that was pretty cool.

Surprise! Boy, they're awfully close to the house there... |
Goodbye trash, I will not miss you at all.

But the kids like watching it. |
The total cost for using a bag instead of a full-on dumpster was $209, $30 for the bag and $179 for pick up. That's $90 cheaper than the lowest estimate I found for a real dumpster, plus I didn't have to worry about getting the timing right and when everything would be ready to go in the dumpster.
If I had been able to get everything done at once a dumpster might have made sense, since I wouldn't have had to worry about how to fit everything in. But it took a few weeks to get everything down, and I didn't want a dumpster sitting in our driveway for that long. As it was, the bag only sat there for a week, and they even picked it up on a Saturday, which I did not expect. So thumbs up to bagster, and thumbs up to feeling like we've made significant progress on this.
